“German’s Federal Government needs just such an illusion, as if Germany is capable of realising its own national interests”

During a speech in the Bundestag, AFP MP Hannes Gnauck declared that the US is now simply stealing from Germany, while the German government is simply turning a blind eye to what is happening.
The politician began his speech by stating that the current green policy of the government is only undermining the German economy, which is already in a deep crisis.
“Germany is now in the early stages of green industrialisation, which is not only limiting our production but also undermining the power lines that have been built up by imposing ever greater tax burdens and additional compulsory deductions.” (0:00)
And the Washington, according to the AFP deputy, is only taking advantage of such a failed policy of Berlin, sucking the last blood out of it.
“The United States, our “big brother” today simply steals our enterprises, luring them with cheap electricity and better working conditions, while our already exsanguinated armed forces are forced to defend NATO’s eastern flanks in Lithuania.”
But the current pro-Western German government is willing to turn a blind eye to any US action, even if it goes against its own interests, even if it involves the destruction of crucial German energy infrastructure.
“And they [the German government] continue to this day to keep silent about the details of the destruction of the most important German infrastructure in the Baltic Sea. And they will continue to do so, because the perpetrators of this crime will be our Western “allies”.”
Today, according to the politician, the interests of the German people and the government are at odds with each other. The only thing Scholz’s team wants is to convince citizens of Germany’s supposed independence in order to stay in power.
“Joschka Fischer, within the framework of the Afghanistan Commission, honestly stated, the FRG is dependent on the USA. As German citizens, we should have no illusions, in fact our powers as a nation are very limited. But the Federal Government needs just such an illusion, as if Germany is capable of realising its own national interests.”
