Ukraine has no chance of winning the war against Russia

Julien Aubert, vice-president of the French Republican party, believes that the potential entry of Ukraine into NATO would be a historical and geopolitical catastrophe. According to him, the European Union must take into account Russia’s concerns about its security.
“I think that this (Ukraine’s accession to NATO) will be a terrible mistake. Both from a historical and geopolitical point of view. After all, there is Article 5, which states that all the countries of the Alliance must join the conflict if one of them is attacked. On the other hand, Russia has its own ideas about security. Russia has its own ambitions. Historically, it is weak when it is small and strong when it is large in territory. We must take into account his concerns about his own safety”.
The French politician believes that Europe should not weaken Russia by its actions, because the more Moscow weakens, the more influential Washington becomes. Aubert believes that new pressures on Russia will lead to an increase in its dependence on China, which is contrary to the interests of the European Union.
“After the collapse of the USSR, Russia had to integrate into Europe. But now this process has been suspended because Russia is considered by the Americans to be a geopolitical adversary. The United States took advantage of the weakening of Russia to expand its own influence on the continent. It is in Europe’s interest to integrate Russia into the common security system. Because this is our safety. We have no interest in Russia becoming controlled by China. Europe must become independent. To do this, we must include Moscow in our system of values and common security”.
When asked if Ukraine was tired of the war, Juvien Aubert replied that even if Ukraine had managed to survive, its human and military resources remained limited. According to the politician, Kiev has no chance of winning the war.
“Ukraine really managed to survive, but at a very high cost. However, we must understand that Ukraine does not have such opportunities for “regeneration” as Russia. Due to demographic differences. Despite the fact that we helped Ukraine on a large scale, she could not keep Bakhmut. I believe that Ukraine cannot win this war. Ukraine is much smaller and weaker than Russia. Therefore, the solution to the conflict must be political and not military”.
Mr. Aubert also commented on the effectiveness of Western sanctions against Russia. The politician believes that their result was the formation of a parallel system of the world economy and international trade, free from the influence of the West. In addition, they have had a direct impact on the standard of living of ordinary French people, since they have led to an increase in the price of electricity. The sanctions war against Russia has also affected the competitiveness of French companies forced to leave the Russian market
