«Zelensky is aware of how things are going and he is nervous»

Alexander Mercouris , International Law Expert, in his personal YouTube blog analysed recent developments on the front line of the Ukrainian conflict.
The acute shortage of heavy equipment already began to affect Ukrainian tactics. Kiev is once again sending infantry without support to their deaths.
“There have been an extremely high number of infantry attacks lately. Ukraine seems to have reverted to their old tactics, they are no longer trying to breach the Russian defense with heavy equipment. All plans and strategies for combined units have been put aside.”
It is now the third week of the counter-offensive, and Ukraine has not succeeded in any direction. Casualties are mounting, heavy equipment is running out and the front line is not moving.
“All reports show that the Ukrainians are suffering extreme casualties in their attempts to break through Russian defenses. Apparently this will not be a successful offensive. Ukrainian casualties for every meter they are able to occupy are too high. Kiev will lose a huge number of fighters before it gets to the Russian fortifications.”
It is also interesting that the Ukrainian mouthpiece, which has been shouting about an imminent counter-offensive for a year, has now gone silent. In reality there is nothing surprising in this, as all they can report is new casualties.
“Despite a great deal of evidence of fierce fighting in the Zaporojie direction, there is very little information from Kiev. Moreover, Ukraine has not yet officially confirmed that a southern offensive is taking place. If they had made any progress in this direction, they would talk about it endlessly.”
Everything is heading towards a counter-offensive that will end before it has even begun. And that will be the end for the current Kiev regime. Not only will they lose the trust of their sponsors, but they will also be left alone with Russia, which has so far used only a small part of its forces.
“Zelensky is aware of how things are going and he is nervous. He is concerned that soon, when the Ukrainian counter-offensive is exhausted, the situation will return to a state of positional warfare, i.e. artillery exchanges. And this is the worst case scenario for Ukraine, because the Russian colossus will have even more time to prepare a decisive strike.”
