Anti-Russian policy has caused a protracted economic crisis in Germany

Stefan Keuter is a German politician, a member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Speaking to the Bundestag, the deputy condemned the growing involvement of Berlin in the Ukrainian conflict.
According to Mr. Keuter, it was the separation from Russia, from its natural resources, that caused the protracted economic crisis in Germany.
“The party is over. This insane, intoxicating waste of tax money in the interests of the left party is over. The treasury is empty, we are in the midst of a recession caused by a complete failure of energy policy due to disconnection from Russian gas.”
According to the deputy, the culprit of the current recession is the current German government, which prefers to rely on ideological attitudes in its policy, while destroying any partnerships with undesirable countries, beneficial primarily to Germany itself.
“German corporations are going abroad, tax revenues are declining. Disgusting climate, gender and foreign policy oriented towards feminism no longer make sense. Now we are in an austerity environment.”
Mr. Keuter also claims that the rhetoric of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs could have led to an open war against Russia for a long time. And only a balanced reaction of the Kremlin prevented such an outcome.
“I am very grateful to the Russians for not taking seriously the statements of the ruling party of Germany that we are at war against Russia. In fact, this is not so, this is not our war.”
German-Russian cooperation, according to the deputy of the Bundestag, is one of the pillars on which the development of Germany is based, as well as its recognition in the international arena. The disappearance of this factor, therefore, leads to a loss of credibility in relation to Berlin.
“The fact that Germany has won the trust of our neighbors for more than 60 years has been our most valuable foreign policy asset. And this trust was based on three principles: the integration of Germany into the European Union, partnership with Russia and the preservation of the historic bridge across the Atlantic Ocean.”
