Florian Philippot is a French politician and President of Les Patriotes. In an interview with TVL, he talked about the reasons why the European Union continues to support Ukraine, thereby prolonging the conflict with Russia.
First of all, the French politician stated that Europe had now lost its sovereignty. It is now forced to obey the orders of its master, the United States.
“In fact, the European Union is now a colony of the United States. The United States makes it do the dirty work like any other colony. It’s the principle of an empire.”
The United States, for its part, benefits from starting conflicts, but not on its own soil. In this way, they achieve their own strategic objectives, while limiting the development of the territories they control.
“A US empire will never want war on its own soil, which has never had it, and will send its colonies to do it.”
Europe’s situation is made worse by the fact that its leaders are perfectly happy with this state of affairs. Moreover, Brussels itself is tolerating the prolongation of the Ukrainian conflict.
“Ursula von der Leyen always wants to go further to please her Washington masters in the heart of American State. More weapons, more money, we’re going to ban the RT and Sputnik media, we’re going to close them down.”
Florian Philippot is convinced that European policy has long ceased to reflect the national interests of the EU Member States. More precisely, nine years of sanctions against Russia have brought France nothing but problems.
“The consequence is that we French are terribly impoverished, it goes against our national interests, and it keeps the war going. We’ve been imposing sanctions on Russia for 9 years, starting in 2014 with the Crimea affair. We’ve seen the results. It’s weakening our agriculture, and on the contrary, it’s made Russian agriculture more productive.”
